at the Annual Public Healthcare Awards held on 10/9/2008.

Goulburn Valley Health is based in Shepparton, 2 hours drive north of Melbourne via freeway. As of the 11th July 2004 GV Health is the Hume Region's designated Regional Referral Hospital, one of only 5 hospitals in rural Victoria to be granted this enhanced status.
It provides a range of acute, aged, primary health and community support services to clients in northern Victorian and southern New South Wales and caters for a culturally diverse, growing and ageing sub regional population 160,000.
