Ear, nose and throat
This clinic has been established to provide a specialist assessment and management service for pre-operative and post-operative ENT clients.
Statewide Referral Criteria exists for select core conditions in this specialty.
Clients are seen by an ENT surgeon.
GV Health does not accept referrals to this service for Cosmetic ENT procedures.
Gastroenterology
This clinic has been established to provide a specialist assessment and management service for:
- Pre and post-operative gastroenterology clients
- Clients who have a history of inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and liver disease
- Patients diagnosed as hepatitis C positive
- Patients diagnoses as hepatitis B positive (treatment available)
- Patients requiring Pillcam Capsule Endoscopy procedures
- Some advanced Endoscopy procedures (e.g. ERCP)
Statewide Referral Criteria exists for select core conditions in this specialty.
Clients are seen by a Gastroenterologist and/ or Hepatology Nurse Consultant/ Nurse Practitioner.
General Surgical
This clinic has been established to provide a specialist assessment and management service for most general surgery pre and post-operative clients.
Clients are seen by a General surgeon and/ or Registrar. Or alternatively, Wound and Stomal Nurse Consultant or Breast care/ Lymphoedema nurse as required.
Goulburn Valley Health does not accept referrals to this service for weight-loss surgical procedures.
Orthopaedic and Fractures
This clinic has been established to provide specialist assessment and management service for both adults and children with Orthopaedic conditions, including:
- Pre and post-operative orthopaedic clients
- Upper and lower limbs
- Major joints
- Hip and back problems
- Fractures or acute injuries
Clients are seen by an Orthopaedic surgeon and/ or Registrar, Nurse and Allied Health.
Goulburn Valley Health does not accept referrals for back pain, as we cannot support spinal surgery.
Urology
This clinic has been established to provide a specialist assessment and management service for pre-operative and post-operative Urology clients.
Statewide Referral Criteria exists for select core conditions in this specialty.
Clients are seen by a Urologist.
Goulburn Valley Health does not accept referrals for Cosmetic Urology procedures.
