GV Health has a dedicated team of 30 hospital volunteers and more than 300 registered volunteers who are involved in auxiliaries and support groups.

Together they provide valuable assistance in the daily operations of GV health services and extended community health programs across three campuses – Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth, and more broadly across Northern Victoria.

Volunteers provide vital support to patients, residents, families and staff.

Their varied personal experiences, skills and roles help them share a level of compassion and understanding for patients and visitors of our services.

There are many different roles you can undertake as a volunteer within GV Health, including greeting patients and visitors, helping people find their way around the facilities, selling newspapers and magazine in the wards, making cups of tea, spending time with patients in need, providing event and administration assistance and more. Volunteering opportunities depend on matching your particular skills and interests to the unique needs of each different area of GV Health to make sure volunteering is a rewarding and valuable experience for everyone.

Prospective volunteers will be interviewed and a reference and police check will be conducted before you start.
