Internships

Our interns are exposed to a wide range of clinical settings and are provided great opportunities in education and training.

We have 32 intern positions in 2025 and offer rotations including 10 sought after Anaesthetics rotational terms.

Intern rotations for 2025 include:

Post Graduate Year 2+ Doctors

GV Health have great opportunities for prevocational doctors looking to build their experience in the Medical field.

Rotations are allocated in line with the PMCV PGY2 Clinical Year. There is flexibility in the allocation of rotations and commencement dates. Please refer to our ‘Pathways at GV health’ information below to learn more.

International Medical Graduates

GV Health are committed to supporting International Medical Graduates starting their careers in Australia. GV Health offer a comprehensive two-week orientation program which allows Doctors to familiarise themselves with the Australian healthcare system. During this time, you will complete mandatory education and orientation requirements, as well as supernumerary shadowing shifts on the wards.

In addition to our well-established orientation program we offer:

  • Initial VISA Sponsorship under 482 entry-stream with pathway to permanent residency under 186
  • Relocation and temporary accommodation assistance
  • Support from community connector service to settle in the region

 

To be considered for a Position at GV Health, you must:

  • Be eligible for AHPRA registration in Australia.
  • Have been practising clinically as a Medical Practitioner within the past 12 months for a duration of 12 months or greater.
  • Be willing and capable of working across a multitude of departments, whilst adhering to a rotating roster inclusive of day and night shifts.
