A reminder about promoting self-collection for cervical test screening in primary care

Self-collection is often preferred by women who find it to be quick, private and more comfortable. Self-collection has been demonstrated to be just as accurate as a clinician-collected screen. Evidence collated by the Goulburn Valley Public Health Unit shows that a larger proportion of people who were never screened or under-screened opted for self-collection.
