GV Health’s community dental clinic is located at the Graham Street Campus.

The clinic provides quality emergency, general, denture and preventative dental care. The clinic also provides limited outreach services utilising a fully equipped mobile dental van and operates a part time dental clinic at Cobram Hospital.

GV Health offers a graduate program for first year dentists. This gives new graduates the opportunity to consolidate and expand their knowledge and build confidence to become outstanding clinicians.

Graduates are fully supported, receiving mentoring from the Clinical Director as well as second and third year graduates.

Graduates have the opportunity to learn by experiencing (within their prescribed scope of practice):

  • Third molar surgery
  • Minor oral surgery including biopsies\
  • Basic fixed appliance & removable appliance therapy
  • Molar endodontics
  • Removable prosthetics
  • Paedodontics advanced periodontal therapy
  • Management of the medically compromised patient
  • General anaesthetics
  • Excellent mentor support

The program also provides the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary dental team including dental and oral health therapists, dental technicians, prosthetists and students.

Melbourne University Dental and BOH final year students visit the clinic throughout each year on their six-week rotation and are also exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences in a supportive environment.
