Jorja Henry

Originally from South Victoria, Jorja moved to Shepparton in May 2024, drawn to the opportunity to work in a regional area. “I grew up in a regional setting, so when I saw this job, I thought, why not try something different? It’s been a great place to start my career,” she said.

Jorja’s role focuses on providing community-based care, helping clients maintain independence and manage their health at home. “It’s holistic care—working with clients to set up long-term supports and keep them out of hospital or aged care,” she said.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see people achieve their goals and know you’ve made a difference in their lives.”

The transition to full-time work has been smooth, thanks to GV Health’s supportive environment. “The team has been fantastic, and the Allied Health Graduate Program was so helpful,” Jorja said. “It covers everything from conflict management to well-being, things you don’t typically learn at university.

Outside of work, Jorja has embraced life in Shepparton, joining a local dance studio and exploring the area. “It’s a great balance—quieter than the city but with plenty to do on weekends. The community has been so welcoming.”
