We provide assessment, diagnosis, and follow-up strategies to support our consumers’ mental health and well-being. GV Health offers a range of psychology roles from the Clinical Psychology Registrar positions to senior Psychologist roles.

Psychologists in GV Health work across community, hospital and outreach settings, providing opportunities to consolidate and upskill specialist mental health skills to provide consumer centered care to those living with mental illness. Professional development is offered through a range of supports inclusive of graduate training programs, targeted allied health learning and ongoing supervision from a team of experienced psychologists.

Psychologists working within GV Mental Health Services work within multi-disciplinary teams and are responsible for managing complex consumers living with mental illness. Psychologists provide comprehensive consumer care inclusive of psychological assessment, diagnosis, formulation, therapeutic interventions and case management. GV Mental Health Services include

Psychologists working within GV Health work within multi-disciplinary teams and are responsible for providing comprehensive consumer care to support consumers’ overall mental health and wellbeing. GV Health offers a variety of roles across outpatient and community settings, including:
- Centre Against Sexual Assault
- Chronic Pain Clinic
- Cognition, Dementia and Memory Service
- Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service
- Goulburn Valley Alcohol and Drug Service
GV Health has a dedicated commitment to offering ongoing and comprehensive development and learning support for early career clinicians. GV Health’s clinical psychology registrar program supports psychology registrars to develop and expand on foundational skills to set them up for a career in mental health. In addition to supports provided by the Psychology Educator and Allied Health and Research Unit, psychology registrars are supported with the following
- Access to up to four (4) rotations
- Weekly supervision, peer supervision and opportunities to be a part of diverse communities of practice
- 10 days professional development leave for approved training
- Four (4) per week of protected learning time
- Reduced clinical case load
- Supportive environment that recognised the need for self-care and wellbeing
- Professional Practice Support
GV Health provides allied health professionals with a supportive, dynamic working environment focused on developing staff within professional or multidisciplinary teams. In addition to role specific training and development, the Allied Health Education and Research Unit offers a structured interprofessional program to support professional practice and career progression.
