Naomi Dobroff
Adjunct Professor Naomi Dobroff is a passionate and experienced public health care leader. She is a registered nurse and the Chief Nursing, Midwifery and Consumer Information Officer at Monash Health. Naomi is an Adjunct Professor at Deakin University and Monash University. She has a Master Degree of Public Health. Naomi is also a Fellow with the Australasian Institute of Digital Health and the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). Naomi chairs the Chief Nursing Informatics Officers Faculty for the ACN and represents them on two national committees for the Australia Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare and the Australian Digital Health Agency.
Naomi has an extensive nursing career, has held a variety of senior leadership roles in public health care for over the past 25 years and also held board appointments within Victoria. She was previously as Chair of the Victorian Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia from 2014-2019 and currently is a Board Member of the Victorian Nurses and Midwives Trust. Naomi recently undertook the Company Director Course update with the Australian Institute Company Directors.
Naomi lives in Melbourne with her husband, three sons and a retired greyhound and has a strong connection to the Goulburn Valley. Her mother’s family lived in Mooroopna and undertook some of their primary schooling there, Naomi holidayed in the area as a child and also participated in the Williamson Community Leadership Program in 2024. This program included a 3-day immersive staying in Shepparton and connecting with diverse cultural and community groups across the area.
Naomi has a long-standing commitment to governance, advocating for consumers and championing equitable health care access. She also strongly advocates for furthering the safe use of digital health, particularly for nurses and midwives where it enables improved health care outcomes. Naomi is looking forward to actively contributing to the GV Health Board as she commenced her three-year appointment in July 2026.
