Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) & Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS)

GV Health may share information with and receive information from other organisations prescribed by law to support assessment and management of your (or your child’s) risk of family violence and support the wellbeing and safety of children and young people (under 18 years).  Your consent is required in most information sharing situations. Information can be shared about any person without consent to reduce or prevent a serious threat to someone’s life, health, safety or welfare.

Where appropriate, safe or reasonable, we will ask you what you think about sharing your information, and you will be informed if your information is shared. Your information will never be given to the perpetrator of family violence if it could put the safety of a child or another person at risk.
