After a decade at GV Health, Manjit’s proud of every role she’s held.

Manjit Kaur

When Manjit Kaur moved from India to Shepparton in 2009, she didn’t imagine she’d one day be helping run one of GV Health’s busiest departments. Starting as a cleaner in 2015, Manjit worked her way through several roles, including orderly and personal care assistant, before becoming a Hotel Services Administration Assistant.

“It was hard at first,” she said.

“My English wasn’t strong, and I lacked confidence.

“But I’ve learned so much and grown a lot since then.”

Her current role is fast-paced and varied, supporting food services, accommodation, security, lost property and more.

“It’s always busy, and every day is different,” she said.

“Some days are challenging, but when we get through it together, we feel proud.”

Manjit says she’s grateful for the flexibility and support of her team, which has allowed her to balance work and family life.

“Everyone helps each other — it’s a great environment,” she said.
