“It feels like a community,” she said. “There are so many connections, and everyone goes above and beyond to help each other.”

Kuldeep Randhawa (1)

For Associate Nurse Unit Manager Kuldeep Randhawa, Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla Aged Care is more than a workplace.

“It feels like a community,” she said.

“There are so many connections, and everyone goes above and beyond to help each other.”

Originally from India, Kuldeep moved to Australia in 2008 and began her career in aged care.

“It helped me build confidence and experience,” she said.

After completing her enrolled nursing studies, she joined GV Health in 2018 as a casual nurse at the Tatura campus of GV Health. She later completed her Registered Nursing degree and graduate year at GV Health, which boosted both her confidence and clinical skills.

“Later on, I had the opportunity to step up as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager,” she said.

“It’s a busy role, but I always get to focus on patients and support the staff clinically.”

Kuldeep said the team spirit at the Tatura campus makes all the difference.

“It’s all about patient/resident safety, quality of care and staff wellbeing.”

She’s proud of how far she’s come and grateful for the support along the way.

“GV Health and the Tatura team have supported me so much,” she said.

“English is my second language, but they’ve encouraged me every step of the way.”

“I’ve completed further study, received a scholarship, and am now doing my masters in palliative care.”

“I’m proud to serve my community and make a difference every day — even in small ways.

Putting a smile on someone’s face means everything.”
