Linda Nieuwenhuizen

Linda Nieuwenhuizen has extensive experience across regional development, communications, governance, and stakeholder engagement. Currently Chief Executive Officer of the Committee for Greater Shepparton, her career includes executive and governance roles with Goulburn Valley Water, RDA Hume, APAL,  and Valley Sport, following roles with a range of agribusiness, public infrastructure, professional and financial services and government organisations. Linda relocated to Shepparton in 2007 following a career spanning multiple locations from Geraldton to London. 

Linda’s approach blends creative strategy, practical know-how and a deep understanding of regional communities. She is adept at guiding organisations through challenging reforms in complex regulatory environments, building strategic partnerships, and delivering outcomes in policy, advocacy, and operations. 

Linda holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness Management, Graduate Diploma in Corporations and Securities Law, is a graduate of the Australian Company Directors Course and the Fairley Leadership Program (2014), giving her a strong foundation in governance, strategic management and regional economic development. 

Linda was appointed to the Board of Goulburn Valley Health in July 2025.
