Pardon our noise while we expand the emergency department

Renovation works are underway at the GV Health Emergency Department to expand the waiting area and improve facilities for families.

The renovations will lead to significant improvements for the community when accessing emergency services at GV Health. There will be no disruption to services within the Emergency Department during construction.

The waiting area for the Emergency Department will double in size and a child-friendly play area will be created.

The main entry to the Emergency Department is closed and a temporary entrance will be operational until November 2015. Temporary fencing has been set up and jackhammering has started on the concrete at the front of the Emergency Department. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we improve the emergency department.

The renovations are being funded by community donations. The GV Health Foundation has generously provided $450,000 towards the improvements and the Rotary Club of Shepparton Central donated more than $20,000 from this year’s annual golf day. In addition, $100,000 has been contributed from community donations made throughout the year.
