Local Rotarians excited about hospital’s redevelopment

Last Wednesday evening GV Health staff took part in a redevelopment presentation delivered to a number of Rotary clubs in the Goulburn Valley region.

More than 100 Rotarians and their guests enjoyed the special combined meeting of the Shepparton South, Shepparton, Shepparton Central, Mooroopna, Tatura and Kyabram Rotary Clubs, held at the GV Hotel to hear all about the redevelopment that is about to get underway at the Shepparton site.

The welcome and background from Trevor Saunders, Chief Executive Officer whetted the appetites of the audience who were keen to hear all about the upcoming building works from Sandy Chamberlin, Executive Director Infrastructure.

The architect for the build, Matthew Hughes from BLP then presented the design of the buildings, the concepts revealing what the hospital will look like after the Stage 1 build is complete.

Questions were then taken from the audience and answered by the panel which also included Donna Sherringham, Executive Director Clinical Operations.

Those who attended were most interested in the redevelopment and we have had some fantastic feedback in terms of the presentation we delivered and about the project as a whole.

Past Shepparton Central Rotary President Wayne Chambers said that alongside having the opportunity to meet other Rotarians from the surrounding clubs, it was “most informative” and terrific to hear about the expansion of GV Health.

“The number and relevance of the questions showed that the Rotary members were enthusiastic about the benefits of the hospital project to our community,” Mr Chambers said.

The evening proved to be a huge success and it was thrilling to see the buzz of excitement sharing the images created among those in our community.
