Consumer Engagement

GV Health is committed to ensuring that the views, interests and concerns of consumers and the community are kept at the forefront of planning and decision-making.

A dedicated Consumer Advisory Committee was established in 2005 to enhance community engagement and consumer input on health issues.

The Consumer Advisory Committee has two key roles:

  1. To provide direction and leadership in relation to the integration of consumer, carer and community views into all levels of health service operations, planning and policy development.
  1. To advise to the board on behalf of the community, consumers and carers.

The Consumer Advisory Committee consists of senior GV Health staff and 11 consumer members.

Expressions of interest are always welcome from members of the public who live or work in the Goulburn Valley, to apply for consumer representative positions to serve on the Consumer Advisory Committee.
