$1.9 million Oncology Appeal
Goulburn Valley Health is calling on the community to help bridge the funding gap for the building of the new oncology unit.
The Share the Care campaign, launched 24 may 2011, aims to raise $1.9 million to build the new, purpose-built oncology unit. The unit will provide local people with cancer with new, comfortable facilities, including new beds, waiting rooms, consultation rooms, education rooms, a family lounge, courtyard, breast care nurse room and drug preparation facility.

There have been many generous financial donations already, including (but not limited to):
- $600,000 from the Victorian Government
- $200,000 from the Freemasons
- $62,000 from Cheryl Hunter, Sebastian’s Restaurant
- $2,000 from Dot and Tom Stevenson
Additionally, in-kind donations have been received, including:
- a patchwork quilt, hand-made by the Eastern Goulburn Valley Group of the Country Women’s Association, which will grace a wall of the new Oncology unit
If you wish to make a donation please contact the Goulburn Valley Health Foundation team on (03) 5832 2192 or (03) 5832 2768.
