GV Health Medical Employment & EducationThe GV Health Medical team includes Senior Medical Specialists, Visiting Specialists, Registrars, Hospital Medical Officers and Interns. Together they provide 24 hour, 7 day a week medical coverage for the hospital.
Ongoing medical education for Hospital Medical Officers (HMOs) & Interns is crucial in our approach to quality care & risk management. More than 300 hours of clinical education sessions are offered annually in a variety of formats including bedside tutorials, video-conferencing, grand rounds, & specialty training. GV Health is not only accredited for GP training as part of the Bogong Regional Training Program, but also accredited for the Advanced Specialists Training Post in a rural area for Medicine, Paediatrics & Psychiatry.
