Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Consumer & Carer Advisory Council

MISSION STATEMENT:

To uphold the rights, respect and dignity of Consumers, Carers and Families across the Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service, to ensure best possible practices.

VISION STATEMENT:

To effectively engage and build relationships with GVAMHS Program Managers, to facilitate a greater understanding of the Consumer, Carer and Family perspective, thus enhancing Family Sensitive Practice. In meeting our vision, we aim to improve mental health services, achieve best practice and to reduce significantly, the impact of mental illness within our targeted community area.


The Council's target populations are the consumers and the carers of community members that are or have been a client of Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Services.  The Council is currently made up of 15 members covering a wide spectrum of our community.
