Wendy was appointed Chief Nursing Officer for GV Health in August 2005. In this role, she has professional responsibility for nursing across all Clinical Streams and executive responsibility for Acute Nursing at the Shepparton, Tatura and Waranga Campuses.
Wendy is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with post graduate qualifications in management and certificates in adult and neonatal / paediatric intensive care.
Wendy moved from Newcastle to Melbourne in 1982 and commenced work in the intensive care unit of the Royal Childrens’ Hospital. She moved into senior nursing management in 1987 at Latrobe Valley Hospital, Gippsland, which later became Latrobe Regional Hospital.
In 1993, Wendy moved to the Grampians Region as Director of Clinical Services for the Wimmera Health Care Group, Horsham where she remained until moving to GV Health.
Wendy has been a member of numerous local, regional and state wide committees and is currently a member of the Neonatal Service Advisory Committee and La Trobe University Shepparton campus regional advisory board.
