GV Health Aged Persons Mental Health Service (APMHS)

This service provides assessment, treatment, case management, acute care and psychogeriatric nursing home care for eligible people over the age of 65 years. The Aged Person Assessment & Treatment Team (APATT) is located at the Centre for Older Persons Health, Shepparton. 

The APATT is a team of clinicians who provide a specialised mental health service which aims to reduce the impact of mental illness in older people, their families and communities.  It is a community based service that visits people in their own home whenever possible.  The APATT is part of the Aged  Persons Mental Health Service (APMHS), which includes 20 psychogeriatric nursing home beds located at Grutzner House and 5 psycho geriatric acute care beds located at the Wanyarra Unit.

Centre for Older Persons Health operates Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

For urgent/crisis situations after hours the Psychiatric Triage Clinician can be contacted on 1300 369 005 (local call charges apply).
