| How long you wait for surgery depends on a number of factors. Surgery is sometimes required in emergency situations but in most cases is planned in advance - known as elective surgery. General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Ear, Nose and Throat, Gynaecology, Paediatric and Oral Surgery are provided at GV Health. Some of these services are provided by local surgeons and other by visiting specialist surgeons, reducing the need for Goulburn Valley residents to travel to Melbourne. Surgical procedures are undertaken in GV Health's three oeprating theatres and a treatment room. |
