Letizia was appointed to the Board of Goulburn Valley Health in 2004 and her current appointment expires on 30 June 2012.

Letizia Torres obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University in 1994. She was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1996. She commenced her practice as a barrister the same year and has been practicing law at the Victorian Bar for almost 15 years.

She specialises in criminal law and related areas, in all jurisdictions. She also appears regularly for the Department of Health in crime related, mental impairment matters.

Over the years, she has advised and appeared in a wide range of criminal, civil and administrative proceedings in a number of jurisdictions, including the High Court of Australia, the Supreme, County and Magistrate’s Courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and other Tribunals.

Letizia migrated from Argentina as a child and is fluent in Spanish. She provides legal services to the Spanish speaking community.
