Mr. Chris Hazelman

Cr Chris Hazelman was appointed to the GV Health Board from 2003 and his current appointment expires on 30 June 2012. He is currently Senior Vice Chair of the Board.
He has served five terms as Mayor of the City of Greater Shepparton; first elected to the Greater Shepparton City Council in the inaugural election of 1997, he was re-elected in November 2008 for his fifth term as a Councillor.
His local government history includes serving as a Councillor and Shire President of the former Shire of Shepparton.
Chris is actively involved with many other community and sporting organisations including:
- Chair of the Tallygaroopna Recreation Reserve Committee of Management
- Life Member of the Tallygaroopna Cricket Club.
- Director of the Word and Mouth Youth Organisation
- Member of the Kialla Racecourse Committee of Management
- Executive Member of the Primary Care Partnership
- Chair of the Localities Embracing and Accepting Diversity Project Steering Committee
- Member of the Government Standing Committee on Local Government and Cultural Diversity
Chris has a Masters in Business Administration, and is a graduate of the Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives Program in Public Policy Development.
After almost 30 years in various roles for the Victorian Government, he established an enterprise in 2002 to provide consultancy services.
In 2004 Chris became the Manager of the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and in 2005 was appointed by the Minister for Racing as the Administrator of the Shepparton Harness Racing Club.
